The RAT Stack!

Here they are:
We are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler (a group read)
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce (heard good things about this one)
The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly (love the 'Lincoln Lawyer' novels)
Corduroy Mansions by Alexander McCall Smith (another favorite author)
Open Secrets by Alice Munro (short stories - always try to have at least 1 of these)
Why Didn't They Ask Evans? by Agatha Christie (still my favorite mystery writer)
Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel (been on my TBR for ages)
My Life in France - by Julia Child (great movie - been wanting to read the book)
Will You Please Be Quiet, Please? by Raymond Carver (also short stories)
The Secret of Shadow Ranch by Carolyn Keene (my traditional Nancy Drew for the wee hours!)

Can't wait to get started! And for the first time in awhile, I don't have ANY other commitments that day (except for having to walk the dog, but I have a couple of these audiobooks on my iPod).  Here is aforementioned dog (and reading companion). After her walk, I'm hoping she stays this relaxed the entire day:
Now, I have to try to forget about the RAT for the next few days, so I can get lots of work and cleaning done.  If I can feel like I'm rewarding myself, it makes the RAT even MORE fun.

Well I guess I am going to have to pass this time and wait till the spring RAT.
I will try to come and cheer you on.

    1. Oh Wendy - I'll miss you! After all, you are responsible for getting me addicted to these things! Hope you can join in the next one.

  2. Hi, RAT pal! I'm so glad to see you're doing this one, and, more importantly, that you have the WHOLE DAY OFF!!!! That's so exciting! I hope your beautiful reading companion will let you sit and relax for awhile, and doesn't "help" you too much by doing things like laying on your book when you're trying to read or something. :) See you tomorrow morning!
