Book Memories Mini-Challenge

My bookish memory is from 3rd grade (!) Our teacher read The Hobbit to us, and I remember being enthralled that someone could write like that.  Some of it was over my head, but the characters, the adventures, and the language itself helped turn me into the book lover I am today.
