Hours 22, 23, 24 and Final Meme

Since last update:

The Mystery at Lilac Inn by Carolyn Keene - 24 pgs
20 min (or thereabouts, listening to audio as I was drifting off!)

Final totals:

Pages - 350
Hours - 7 hours 35 min (includes 35 min audio)
Books finished: A Week in Winter by Maeve Binchy
Books partially finished: The Mystery at Lilac Inn by Carolyn Keene

I did stay awake longer than I ever have before (about 22 hours), but also have my lowest page total because I had to be gone so much during the day.  I didn't even do any mini-challenges this time, which is a first. Hopefully, next time I can devote the whole 24 hours- or at least all the daytime hours - to this fantastic event.

A shout-out to my faithful RAT pals Laura@Please Pardon the Interruption and Wendy@Wall-to-wall Books, and THANK YOU to the fabulous hosts/co-hosts and cheerleaders.  You guys are AWESOME!

End of Event Meme:

  1. Which hour was most daunting for you? 23 onwards  - zzzz
  2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? See 7. below
  3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? It would be nice to see a list of books in the database.
  4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? The new cheerleader spreadsheet was fabulous!
  5. How many books did you read? 1 and a bit
  6. What were the names of the books you read? A Week in Winter and a little of The Mystery of Lilac Inn
  7. Which book did you enjoy most? A Week in Winter was a great Readathon book - engrossing and easy reading
  8. Which did you enjoy least? N/A
  9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders? No, my fellow cheerleaders were great!
  10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?  There is a 100% chance I will participate again.  I will read and cheer both, because I think that's how to get the most out of this event.

  1. Hour 22 and 23 were brutal for me as well! And good job with your read! I also think reading AND cheering were so much fun!

  2. I loved the new cheerleader spreadsheet, too!

Looks like you had a great Read-a-thon, even if you didn't get to devote quite as many hours as you would like.
